Some quietly refer to her as “Charlotte the Harriet Tubman,” credited with facilitating the relocation of over 40 families from the United States to Panama. Her guidance and support have proven invaluable, both to those embarking on the journey and to the Panamanian community benefiting from the infusion of American wealth into their economy.
Many seek Panama as an escape from the pressures felt stateside, in pursuit of a better quality of life. Charlotte’s YouTube channel boasts over 40,000 subscribers, with a demographic spanning ages 30 to 65, including young individuals, singles, elders, and families with children—all drawn to Panama for its promise of a brighter future.
Check out her vibrant on-air radio personality at Blaxit Radio, where she fearlessly tackles pressing issues like the United States, Black Culture, life in Panama and the Black Expats experience.

Tracey J Wonderful Business Forum “How to Win at Business in Panama” very informative!! Duane Turner BEIP relocation tour is a life changer! Me and my wife recently had the pleasure of touring Panama with Charlotte and her wonderful team and we loved it. We have a much better understanding of Panama in general and what it might be like to move and live there. BEIP did a masterful job of blending food, culture, and the business side of relocation. Every aspect of the tour well planned, thoughtful, and fun! We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone considering a relocation or vacation. D B Chambers One of the most informative, culturally sensitive and fun trips we’ve ever experienced. Immediately, local professionals are introduced to us to inform. The feeling was always positive in this group because of the knowledge and vigilance of Charlotte and her committed staff. We had long days full of fun and facts. They took us to the most incredible places in Panama that we would not have had such easy access to had we just come on our own. We learned about the history and culture while being comfortably escorted in our spacious, air conditioned bus. We were able to engage with and spend time with like minded people who we enjoyed. We’ve made the decision to spend several months here until we make the decision to be here full time. Muchas gracious, Charlotte and your incredible staff. Candace Hanna Charlotte and The Crew!!!! Thank you for an amazing, delightfully-entertaining, royalty-awakening, reflectively-enlightening experience. So much more than just a relocation tour. The energy of Panama has made me fall in love and the people and history is what will make me come back…with friends. We are all individually and collectively seeking true freedom, by any and all means, so Thank You for being the thread that has sewn this beautiful group together. I am forever grateful. I enjoyed divinely meeting and interacting with each and every one of my tour family. Thank you for sharing your love stories with me. I hope to stay in touch with you all…Your sister💞 Kandes Dungey If you want to see Panama, learn about its rich history and are considering relocating, then this is the company you will want to book through! The experience is un-forgettable, you are taken very good care of by Charlotte along with her phenomenal crew. Black Ex Pats/Panama, you will not be disappointed, promise you! Ms J Bryant I joined the 30th BEIP tour and I had a great time. The entire tour was very information and extremely enlightening. So, many places to go and to see. You may find that Panama checks all of your boxes. Just do it... Charlotte is gonna take care of you❤️ Tashia Johnson I got the opportunity to travel with Black Expats in Panama to Colón for a day trip. From beginning to end, it was fantastic! The coach bus was very comfortable. The route was very scenic and beautiful. We stopped on the way and had lunch at a black owned restaurant. The weather and food were amazing. There was a nice breeze coming off the ocean and it felt wonderful. On the bus, Tio gave us some history about different things along the way. When we got to the church that houses Black Jesus, he told a very detailed story about how the statue was found, how it’s carried and about the church as well. The music on the bus would put even the most depressed person in an amazing mood. I met so many people. Everyone was smiling and ready to have a good time. Charlotte is so funny and makes sure everyone has a great time. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. Beverly Tillman My husband and I had the pleasure of exploring the city of Colon with BEIP and let me just say, Charlotte and her husband along with their team are the best and made it a memorable time. From her warm spirit to her awesome music played on the bus...we had a ball! Do not miss the opportunity to explore this rich, culture packed tour! Yolanda Pitters Tour#29 I was born in Panama but lives in the USA for many years since my teens. I've been thinking to move back home whenever I retired. I did retire in 2020 but then I move into another house recently. I just went on the Black Expats of Panama Tour of Charlotte Van Horn from July 1-5 and meeting her in person was the best thing ever something I don't see in other Panama relocation tours. I took my sister with me to enjoy the experience with me, this tour compare to the other Panama Relocation Tour I went to in 2023 is nothing comparable to the experience that I had. We became family we bonded as family and it was fun mix with experience and excellent and esseptional above and beyond nothing beats Mrs. Charlotte Van Horn Tour, we met her on our arrival in person and she went to the tour with all of us all the way to the end of the tour something I don't see in other relocation tours. The speaker of the tour guy Teo was very knowledgeable and very explanatory with details about everywhere they took us. He thought us things I never knew before after leaving Panama at a very young age and many places I didn't know existed in Panama it was what a experience. We love everything about our tour and thinking quicker than ever to move back home. The Edward Jones Charlotte gives a great tour. We enjoyed the info she shared, the places we went and the punctual time line she followed. My husband and I recommend the tour to anyone wanting to learn about Panama!
